Newport to Chepstow Rail Corridor Study – Public Consultation Opens

Date posted: 05 November 12

Feedback is being sought on a report commissioned by Sewta into possible improvements to rail provision along the Newport to Chepstow Rail Corridor undertaken by consultants Capita Symonds.

The report recommends

• Improvements to Severn Tunnel Junction and Chepstow stations
• A new station at Llanwern
• Train Service Frequency Enhancements

The report has been prepared through consultation with rail industry stakeholders and has already been published on the Sewta website. However, Sewta is keen to obtain the views of wider stakeholders and the general public, and is now consulting more widely.
The Report and Technical Appendices can be viewed on the Sewta website (http://www.sewta.gov.uk/other-documents/studies-etc/).
We would appreciate any comments, either in writing or by emailing them directly to sewtaconsultation@capita.co.uk. The deadline for responses is 14th December 2012.

Please note that Sewta plans to publish comments it has received. No personal information or contact details will be published, only the name of the consultee, or in the case of a response by an organisation, the organisation’s name.
We hope the document is informative and useful. For any further questions please contact:
